With over 35 years of experience in the financial industry, Jay Cole is dedicated to helping clients navigate the intersection of their lives and finances. Jay’s deep industry knowledge and hands-on approach ensure that his clients stay on track toward achieving their objectives. He regularly reviews accounts and plans, offering proactive guidance tailored to their evolving needs. Together with his partner, Shane, Jay also oversees a significant book of business in the 401(k) space, providing expertise to businesses and their employees.
Previously, Jay served as president and board member for both The Ball-Chatham Education Foundation and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Illinois Capital Region. Though he no longer coaches, Jay fondly recalls his time leading highly competitive fast-pitch softball teams. Outside of work, he enjoys gardening and taking scenic drives in his father’s 1973 Caprice Classic Convertible.
Jay and his wife, Mary, reside in Southport, North Carolina, where they appreciate the warm climate and vibrant activities of their coastal community. They often visit Springfield to stay connected with family and friends.
The couple cherishes their blended family. Jay’s daughters, Mariah (married to Aaron, with granddaughters Emery and Harvey) and Peyton, live in North Carolina. Mary’s sons, Steven (with his wife Abby and daughters Charlotte, Francine, and Louis, plus another on the way) and Jeff (with his wife Jessie and daughters Josephine and Amelia), live in Springfield and Denver, Colorado, respectively. Completing their family are two beloved dogs, Addie and Tillie.
Jay and Mary are active members of New Generations Church, where they find inspiration and a sense of belonging within their faith community.
